WebSideStory Named A Finalist For Prestigious Codie Awards

SAN DIEGO, CA (Jan. 26, 2006) — After a record number of company awards and accolades in 2005, WebSideStory, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSSI), a leading provider of on-demand digital marketing applications, was recognized again this week when it was named a finalist for the prestigious Codie Awards. The company’s on-demand site search application, WebSideStory Search, was nominated for Best Enterprise Search Engine, one of more than two dozen software categories in the Software & Information Industry Council’s 21st Annual Codie Awards. WebSideStory Search was the only hosted site search application to be named to the final group.

“The 21st Annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, information and education technology industries,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. “When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards Finalist is a significant achievement.”

The nomination follows a banner year of awards and recognition for WebSideStory and its Active Marketing Suite, the industry’s first suite of integrated, on-demand digital marketing applications including web analytics, site search, web content management and keyword bid management (due later this year). HBX Analytics won InfoWorld magazine’s head-to-head review of major web analytics solutions early in the year, and then took home Network Computing’s Editor’s Choice Award for Best E-commerce Analytics Service. In July, JupiterResearch recognized WebSideStory as one of the top site and e-commerce search vendors in the industry. In December, WebSideStory was named to the Red Herring Small Cap 100, which recognizes the “most competitive, most innovative and most promising technology companies” in the small cap segment. The SIIA received a record number of entries this year – more than 1,000 submissions from 500 companies. The awards encompass a total of 71 categories spanning software, content and education. The awards will be judged by a combination of journalists and peers. The Codie Awards will be presented May 16, 2006, in San Francisco.
